It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Professor Peter Bosscher, founder and faculty advisor of UW-Madison's EWB chapter, passed away in the early morning of Sunday, November 18.

Peter had been diagnosed with renal cancer last spring. His last week was spent in home-based hospice care, and he died peacefully, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 27. The crowded church was a testament to the vast number of people Peter has touched during his life. Though the world is a poorer place for his loss, it is a better one for what he started. We, the members of EWB-UW, hope to honor his memory by continuing to work for justice, sustainability, and equity around the world.
