Yesterday was our first working day. We had to be a little flexible, but it all worked out. We started by having a meeting with the community leaders about what we wanted to accomplish on this implementation trip. After the meeting, we had a walking tour of La Granja and Nuevo Ferrocarril to show the new travelers the communities we´d be working in. After a delicious lunch back at Los Ranchos, we met with Daniel, our mentor for this trip to talk about logistics and materials. The wastewater and microbial subgroups went to the wastewater treatment plant to collect samples and do some testing, which they will compile into a report for the Alcaldia at the end of the trip. After our work was done, we had an enjoyable and relaxing evening hanging out at Los Ranchos.
