Hi! I'm the webmaster for this site. I hope you enjoy it! If you have any suggestions for how to improve it, please don't hesitate to let me know. I am having a lot of fun putting this thing together!
Within Engineers Without Borders I am involved in the Orongo, Kenya project and have traveled there in August 2008, January 2009, and January 2010. It has been quite an eye opening experience for me and I truly believe each student from our organization who travels to places like Orongo learns much more than they are able to teach to the villagers. Although I am graduating soon I hope to be involved in volunteer experiences like this for a long time to come.
Outside of Engineers Without Borders I am working on a masters in Environment and Resources within the Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment here at UW-Madison. I will be done with that in May 2011. Looks like EWB has shown me the greener side of things and has pushed me to do two more years of school in a related area!
Outside of EWB, some of my favorite things in life are ultimate frisbee, basketball, and hiking. Our EWB group often puts together an IM Ultimate team so feel free to let me know if you are interested. If you want to know more about me, I have a website at: http://markliu.me
I hope you like our site!
