EWB OFFICE AREA - pending room assignment
Hello all EWB members!
As I am sure you all know by now, we will be having our banquet on Friday April 17 from 5-9pm. There will be good food, project presentations (by the two, maybe three groups that can come together with the best ones), the premier of the El Sal documentary made this January, a super cool keynote speaker (I'm excited), and hopefully a bunch of professionals in the Madison area that want to meet YOU and hear about your experiences (a foot in the door perhaps?).
On Wednesday at 8, we'll be talking about what needs to happen now. I know you are all busy, but if we want to keep ourselves afloat, we ALL need to be working on this. Our invites are done, but that does little good if they don't get into the hands of people who want to come! So, please bring some ideas of people who may be interested, especially if you know someone who works for an engineering firm in the region.
The agenda for the meeting will be somewhat as follows:
- Talk about invites, sending, finding people, distribution to pass on to professors/department chairs, etc.
- Discuss the project presentations - who will be doing them, how will we decide?
- What will happen at the banquet - set-up (decorations, getting A/V set, putting together "science fair" type displays), and talk about helping out once we get there.
- We'll need a group who can help put together an agenda (program on paper), nametags, seating arrangements, etc. The Banquet Crack Team!
I assure you, for now this is enough to worry about, not to mention all of the things I forgot.
Please come with a few names and addresses of people who we can send invites to, whether it be family, friends, or just someone you know. This is our chance to show off what we do, so let's get people there we want to share it with!
Thanks, we'll see you there! It's likely we'll have treats :)
